Peekaboo! I Don’t See You!
It’s one of those days when I feel completely like an “Un-Groovy Lady”. I woke up this morning to lo and behold…
Herpes simplex (virus)! What an unsightly thing to have to look at first thing in the morning. Why couldn’t it have been a zit or something I can provide an immediate fix? Maybe, just maybe it’s a heat rash…yeah, right wishful thinking. I thought I would try the Law of Attraction…pffft! Can we rewind to yesterday morning? Oh heck no! What is wrong with me?! Yesterday morning I woke up to greet Aunt Flo!
To say the least, I just want to hide my face so no one can see this hideous cold sore.
So, I’ll see you in 7 days… when Aunt Flo leaves too and I’ll feel groovy once more.

Awww.. you poor thing! Is it a mild cold sore.. or are you terrifying small children with your appearance?
I have never had one before. A few months ago I thought I was getting my first one, but it turned out to be a zit instead.
I hope you feel better soon. I hate cold sores too. I don’t get them but my hubby does every single winter. Poor thing. At least I don’t have to worry about another woman wanting to kiss him. LOL!! (sorry)
As far as Aunt Flo goes… I HATE HER! She always comes uninvited. And she always stays too long!
(I have to ad that there were times I danced a jig when she came a little late)
Unfortunately there’s nothing mild about cold sores. lol. It’s just plain ugly and I always feel like people are staring at it when 1) Hell yeah they are or 2) Hell yeah they probably aren’t, but I know better and they know better and they are staring! Seriously I have had worse, but nevertheless it’s damn ugly. I have full lips and well, although this one is just under my lower lip (on the side) it makes my lips look like a silicone injection gone awry.
Thanks for sympathizing with me. You are both fantastic Groovy Ladies!
I feel for ya, Cool…. never had a cold sore but now that you’ve described yours, I definitely don’t want one!
Aunt Flo is a bitch. She needs to stay the hell away from me!
Unfortunately, though, she comes to visit every month and she is due soon. Dammit!
